Bottega Verde was born in 1972 in Pienza, Italy, as a small herbalist who from the beginning has been engaged in the research of cosmetic products based on natural active ingredients. In 1986 opened the first store mono brand that will lead Bottega Verde to become the first group in Italy by number of stores of cosmetics. In 2000 he began overseas expansion, launching over eighty stores in Europe and the United States.
